Ferrero, under the creative direction of Ogilvy Italy, launched a new campaign: “Nutella Gemella”. By registering your custom Nutella jar on the dedicated platform, people can discover where in Italy is located the twin jar and be in touch, making distance shorter and spreading a message of love and equality. There is only one existing twin on the market.
For this purpose we have been asked to create an infographic showing the connections of the twin jars around Italy.
Daniele Simonelli designed an evocative and textured illustrations of Italy with attention of the main cities where the campaign launched . Throughout the iconography of the Italian traditions and the cultural heritage with references to monuments, culinary specialties and architecture to identify each city. The illustration came out as a very detailed design that identifies a strong personality and humour creating a storytelling that over responded the brief assigned, adding a unique touch and surprising look & feel.

Daniele Simonelli is an Italian illustrator, currently based in Rome. His style has been defined as both warm and endearing. Nature, maps and landscapes in which characters live are just some of his eye-catching recurrent subjects. Through his calculated use of texture and color, he creates vivid imagery that tempt and captivate your attention. From 2017 Daniele founded an illustration and animation studio collective, Sail Ho Studio, along with some fellow designer around Europe.
